The Facts: Back in mid-October 2025 I embarked on the endeavor to write (and self-publish) my first book (of which I am on the third and final draft). It was going to be a simple anthology of my old short-form writings from the early 2000’s (my early thirties). It was also going to have a […]
Below is the latest spoiler-free video update on the progress of my first book, which I plan to self-publish, and where I will have complete creative control from cover to cover. As for what it’s about, I can only say that it’s gone from a simple anthology of my old writings to a sprawling 2nd […]
Last Edited September 25, 2026As a former Roman Catholic (kindergarten to 12th grade) turned non-believer (at some point before my teens when I tapped out mentally realizing it was all nonsense but still had to endure catholic school), and having no first hand knowledge and experience with any other religion, I can only base this […]
To the rape victim, the abused child or spouse, the teen bouncing from one foster home to another, the burn victim, those in the armed forces who lost their limbs, the family who lost a loved one to any one of numerous reasons (murder, cancer, suicide, etc.), and anyone else out there who has gone […]
Here we are, the beginning of September of 2026, and I am close to finishing the 1st review of my 1st draft (I’ve been saying this for weeks now, but the final chapters were kind of rushed the first time around so there’s some cracks in the foundation that need to be filled), which, once […]
A lot of people figure out what they want or are meant to do with their life at a young age, for any number of reasons. Then there’s those of us who have no fucking clue whatsoever, also for any number of reasons, and so we often bounce from job to job or from hobby […]
I might turn this into a video on my channel, maybe not, it’s a little after 3PM on August 21, 2026 as I write this, and it’s really just a quick little thought. No, I don’t have a god complex. Yes, I am a god when I write because as a soon-to-be self-published author in […]
In my “Sticking Banned Stickers On You | ASMR” video, I mentioned how the merchant clones of my universe travel between voids. This is the first time I believe it’s ever been specifically alluded to or mentioned. A day or so later I came up with the idea of a device that enables one to […]
Lore announcement involving the anatomical structure of one particular Margaret that exists outside the Thalmultaria omniverse. This very well may be the first time any fictional character has ever had such an anatomy.
From my YouTube channel community post here: I just realized I’ve organically conceived approximately 250 entirely original and unique concepts (places, creatures, names, etc.) since I started writing this book back in October 2025, and which has since become a meta-fictional, absurdist, satirical horror journey through the New Weird, Bizarro and Splatterpunk. And for those […]
Hopefully (knock on wood, fingers crossed) if all goes according to plan, the first three books I plan to write and self-publish will be as follows: That’s the plan at least. We’ll see what happens. One day at a time!…
After nine months of writing full time since mid-October 2025 when I started this endeavor, and only taking off a handful of times, I’ve finally completed the first draft of my first book (see video below). As of the date of this website post, August 1st, 2026, I have reached the end of week 2 […]
After I don’t know how many years, I finally got around to redesigning one of about 5 or 6 designs I originally created back around 2003 when my wife (girlfriend at the time) helped me with starting a brickless small business where we sold t-shirts and stickers, mostly at flea markets. It never amounted to […]
I haven’t had much to say or had anything to post here on my website, as since mid-October 2025 I’ve been working on my first book full time, almost non-stop for 7 months straight as of this post, including weekends, minus maybe 5 days total where I had to do something or just took a […]
Every now and then, whenever I ended up talking about the human brain regarding our emotions and actions, I would often mention how we had an older, lizard type brain, with our newer evolved mammal brain built over that. Well, I recently found out that is incorrect, and discuss why in this video.
It’s absolutely hilarious and absurd while simultaneously frustrating, sad, disgusting, embarrassing, hypocritical (did I forget any?) that we apes in “modern” society hand out awards to each other with one hand, while trashing the planet with the other, and then sweep it under the rug. Literally. New York’s biggest landfill (biggest in the world at […]
Hilarious thing that happened to me the morning of January 15, 2026, when using Google Gemini to check a few sentences form my manuscript for something.
I just found a folder on my pc’s D: drive that i thought was just old family photos and what not. I had a prior instagram account, twitter, etc., but deleted them just to get the fuck off of social media. But then like a year later or whatever I came back. Anyway, this is […]
As a YouTube/ASMR creator myself since early 2012 (launched my YouTube channel September 2011 prior to serendipitously discovering ASMR months later), and thinking about the environment more and more around the time of this post (I’ve always thought of the environment since like my 20’s in the 1990’s or early 30’s in the 2000’s), I […]
I stumbled upon a local “little free library” as they are called and discovered a book that really shouldn’t have been in there, so I replaced it, while raising the intellectual and happiness values of the little library!
Since I finally embraced the writer that I should have always been since I was a kid/teen, I look back with that perfect 20/20 vision and realize how much time that not only did I personally waste, but how society at large also wasted my time. I go into it in this video, with some […]
Finally! I have embraced and put the last piece of the puzzle of who I am into place: being a writer (and soon a self-published one). This is what I should have been doing creatively with my life ever since I was a teen. It just took me 54 years to figure out, lol
In this video I talk about how I am now 4 years alcohol-free since January 2022, along with being cannabis & tobacco free since ~2005, religion-free (ex-Roman Catholic now since the 80’s), politically-free, etc., etc., and have pretty much reached the peak of my existence as a human being here at 54 years old, even […]
It may have taken like 10 years, LOL, but finally, in just a couple/few months, after my first book is self-published, I’ll begin writing my 2nd book about my the fictional universe I’ve built brick-by-brick on my YouTube channel. Finger crossed! Stay tuned! Hopefully end of 2026 it’ll happen. Gotta get this first book out […]
First off, thanks to everyone that supported me there over the years! When I started my YouTube channel, it was just a side project to do random creative stuff. I already had a full time job, albeit one that wasn’t satisfying. After serendipitously finding out about ASMR videos on YouTube, and having experienced ASMR all […]
I just finished updating the FAQ for my universe, Thalmultaria, and have basically embraced the notion that there will be a book about it or Arkham Sanitarium (whichever will be first), hopefully by the end of 2026. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself just yet, as I’m still working on my first […]
At 54 years old, I finally and whole heartedly embraced the author in me that I should have been since a teen in the 1980’s. But hey: “Better late than never!” as they say… It is Christmas of 2025 as I write this, and I am a little over 2 months into working on my […]
Beneath the video below is the 5 hour chat session I had with ChatGPT on December 4th, 2025 from 9AM to 2PM (closer to 2:30, but who’s keep tracking, surely not I). However, since the original chat session contains spoilers from my manuscript, I had ChatGPT keep my original prompts but then redact any spoilers […]
In case you haven’t been following along (or don’t even know who the fuck I am, lol!), back in October 2025, and on a whim (story of my life!), I starting working on a manuscript for my first self-published book. It was just supposed to contain my 53 unpublished writings from the early 2000’s (poems, […]
The world’s first pro-Native American “Action RPG” video game! (Or Indigenous People of North America/United States, whatever term they prefer).Edit: oh shit, Assassin’s Creed 3 apparently beat me to it! LOL! That’s okay, my idea better!!! lol
As a former-Roman Catholic turned non-believer (and broke the cycle by (along with my wife) raising our son non-religious), I share my thoughts as to why the religious indoctrination of children is psychological abuse, and is just one of many reasons why all religions should go the way of the dinosaurs.
I talk about the term “multipotentialite” and “multipotentiality” that I recently learned for the first time in my life at 54 years old (thanks to a particular viewer/subscriber’s comment on a prior video), which pretty much describes what I’ve been saying for awhile now about how I don’t excel at any one thing, yet am […]
I share my thoughts as to why both sides of the political spectrum here in the United States are both bothersome.
I share my thoughts about how AI will replace the need for ASMR content creators (and YouTubers in general), Authors, Musicians, Directors, Actors, Animators, basically anyone doing anything that AI can or eventually will, including the entire human race once AI driven robots and vehicles are successful, as we usher in our own extinction!
Panexistisexual means anything in existence having sex with anything else in existence. Pan – all, existi – existence. And the list goes on, and on, and on. And on. And on and on. And on and on and on and on. And on. And on. And on. And on and on. And on. And, well, […]
It’s day 39 as I continue to work on my manuscript for my first self-published book containing all 53 of my original short-form writings (poems, song lyrics, beginnings of a short story, etc.) from about 20-25 years ago. It even has a preface as well, which turned into a ~10 page monster (but that’s another […]
The other day, when I was working on the manuscript for my unpublished writings (video below), I had a random funny thought (what else is new!) to make a post on X (twitter) about a sentence that will NOT appear in the book. So I posted the following random piece of text I made up […]
https://www.bishop-accountability.org/ A few days prior to this post, I published the video below to my channel. I then noticed some comments from people trying to act as if xianity (or any religion) is some kind of perfect bastion of virtue and excellence, while conveniently and intentionally leaving out the religious victims, as well as all […]
I used to write way back in the early 2000’s, but then stopped once I opened my YouTube channel and started channeling all of my creative energy into that. In the videos below I talk about why I’ve decided to self-publish my first book. I feel like it’s not just “about time” I start writing […]
I plan to move all the info about the omniverse from this website (ephemeralrift.com) to the Thalmultaria website. I plan to use the Thalmultaria website as a knowledge base or wiki of some sort, as well as possibly a forum where residents of the Thalmultaria omniverse can engage in all discussions, share discoveries, theories, etc. […]
It’s official: Thalmultaria (original spelling: Pthalmultariagn) has been revealed as the true name of the apparent “fictional” omniverse of which I am the facilitator, and in which we all live and reside. https://ephemeralrift.com/thalmultaria/
Save the date, find a safe place, and prepare yourself!
Stay tuned for what this universe’s historians will one day come to refer to as the most mind boggling, earth shattering, moon pulverizing, sun bursting, DNA altering, volcano freezing, dinosaur reanimating, life changing, brain melting, eureka moment lore update to ever occur in the history of the “Ephemeral Rift Omniverse”!
Be warned and vigilant if you live in tick country! I got my first tick bite here in Southeastern Pennsylvania during early Spring, April 2025. The Bite: The Culprit: The Story: While I was getting a shower the morning of April 8th 2025, I felt a small little bump on my skin near my left […]
As a lifelong resident of (Southeastern) Pennsylvania, and at 53 years old, for the first time in my life I took a trip in March 2025 to visit the Rays Hill tunnel portion of the Pennsylvania Abandoned Turnpike. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a few years, especially in 2024 (but the opportunity to […]
This serves as a placeholder until I write the short story/essay/summary of the history of planet Thalmultaria and its primary inhabitants known as the Eternally Finite Thalmultarians, along with some basic drawings. For reference:

The unique call of the nocturnal Eastern Whip-poor-will was heard at Michaux State Forest, Pennsylvania, one night in early June 2024. It sang out all night long in very close proximity, basically earshot, to where I camped at one of the primitive hike-in sites located in the southern region of the forest. This is a […]
I’m 53 years old at the time of this writing, and while I did poop outdoors once when I was around 10 years old, since that time I have never pooped outdoors, let alone in the woods/ orest. Well that all changed on the night of June 3, 2024! I was in the forest at […]
Surely this mustn’t be the first time anyone has ever written part of a short story to be used specifically for their Profile Picture (Pfp). This was an off-the-cuff, spontaneous, improv little “story” of sorts that I wrote to be used as the pfp for various social media outlets I use (the story doesn’t go […]
In an apropos setting, and in a calm, relaxed manner, I share my thoughts on what I believe may very well be the biggest heist in the history of our species.
The notion of the birthday was invented approximately 3,000 years ago when we were much dumber than we are today It first occurred to me sometime in the past decade or so that our birthday is actually the day we are conceived, which happens about 10 months prior to the date we are delivered. This […]
Good now! Here’s my plans/ideas/bucket list for the next few months: I can’t imagine I’ll be outdoors making videos the entire rest of 2024, especially when it gets too hot in the summer (my heat & cold tolerance as I get older are are less than when I was younger, though I still love the […]
Hahaha, ever since I launched my channel way back in 2011 I always enjoyed changing the PFP every so often, sometimes out of boredom, sometimes to exercise my creativity. As of late 2023 I believe it was, once again I decided to have fun and get a little creative with the PFP by taking 2 […]
Ever since I was a kid, not only did I love being outdoors playing, or looking under rocks for bugs, slugs, and garter snakes, I also loved nature documentaries on television (Wild Kingdom, Wild America, Nature, etc.). Fast forward from the early 1970’s to 2011 when I launched my YouTube channel “Ephemeral Rift” at 40 […]
I started visiting the John Heinz NWR back around 2005 when I got into photography (namely macro photography) for the first time in my life during my early 30’s. I used to take photos for fun as a teen in the 80’s, but it was never serious. The John Heinz NWR is not just a […]
I have NO idea where this idea came from. It hit me out of nowhere I think in January 2024, or December 2023. All I know is at some point about a month or so prior to this post, I thought: why not have the characters of my universe (omniverse, to be precise) start a […]
I will be changing the name of my universe to something more fictional, such as……. oh I dunno…… Blogrop’s Infinitorium, or Oq’s Circus of Inifinite Absurdity, for example. Something non-sequitur and absurd. I will also be creating a video guide to my universe, whether you are new to it or a “veteran”. I’ve done 1 […]
The photography itch grows stronger with each passing day, not to mention that I’m starting to have my fill of Winter. Not that I live in far north, but still, at 52 years old I’m not one for the cold or hot weather like I once was when I was a young snipper whapper. Spring […]
(This is a work in progress, but for the time being I need to get this out of my head because it’s been festering like a maggot in an open wound) With 8 billion of us and counting, with our species being a drain on earth’s resources from livestock to oil and everything else in […]
I recorded the video below back in 2018, 5 years ago (as of the date of this post). I don’t recall anything I said, or the exact reason as to the inspiration behind this video and idea, but I do know that I came to my own conclusion and it wasn’t based off of anything […]
This very, very rough design created by yours truly using a mouse and keyboard was inspired by the “Nazi Lives Don’t Matter” design you might have seen out there on the web. Maybe….. maybe… I’ll get a real artist to turn this into a professional design to be put on a t-shirt, if I don’t […]
[Revised 11/20/2023] Before we get into it, allow me to share a little misanthropic piece I wrote a few days prior to this post, which I wanted to turn into something bigger, but since that will most likely never happen (I don’t really have the drive to write poems & lyrics anymore like I once […]
The problem was never a question of whether or not we could, the problem was always a question of whether or not we should. – Me, November 12, 2023 From our evolution and continued breeding to agriculture, farming, roads, highways, towns, cities, mass scale hunting and fishing, factories, sweatshops, factory farming, trash & landfills, oil drilling […]

This is a rough draft of the industrial complex I plan to build that will be completed by the year 4872 after I have achieved immortality. It will be the ultimate human achievement the world will ever know. Stay tuned for more updates!
Ethics. Morals. Values. Critical thinking (namely Objectivity and Perspective). Keep these in mind my dear reader, employ them even, as you continue… In my previous article “The Holocaust Happened, But It’s No Big Deal Compared to the Daily Livestock Holocaust“, I wrote how the deaths of approximately 6 million humans (Jews) during World War 2 […]
About a week prior to the date of this post, I used the N word (ending in “a”) on twitter, as well as in some replies to comments on my YouTube channel. I also have an article up about it here on my website, which provides full context behind the tweets. I’ll never say the […]
[revised 10/19/2023: added some text, fixed grammar and some math] [Update: I will be writing a new article which will analyze all human deaths by war, terrorism, etc. vs annual livestock deaths] Welcome to Cognitive Dissonance 101 and the Pandora’s box gameshow of “Which Life Form is More Valuable Than the Other?” The killing of […]
2 words: deforestation and livestock: How would you like it if humans were laid out in the field above, or hanging from hooks? You wouldn’t. Yet, it’s okay that we do it to trees and cows because humans need to thrive. Hypocrite much? I could end this article right here and now. I don’t even […]
[This article has been updated to censor the N word so as to make it less offensive to those who are sensitive to it, as well as the fact that it shouldn’t be used and spelled out. When this article as initially written, I had no problem typing out the full uncensored versions of the […]

Dearest creature in creationStudying English pronunciation, I will teach you in my verse Sounds like corpse, corps, horse and worse. I will keep you, Susy, busy,Make your head with heat grow dizzy; Tear in eye, your dress you’ll tear; Queer, fair seer, hear my prayer. Pray, console your loving poet,Make my coat look new, dear, sew it! Just compare heart, hear and heard, Dies and diet, lord and word. Sword and sward, retain and Britain(Mind the latter how it’s written). Made has not the sound of bade, Say–said, pay–paid, laid but plaid. Now I surely will not plague […]
The Alien Abduction ASMR video has been one of the more difficult videos I’ve filmed due to the vision obstructing nature of the mask (might be the same difficulty as wearing the rhino mask). The mask’s eyeholes are created and positioned in such a way as to make their appearance subtle as though there are […]
The audio from select videos pictured below from my channel have been distributed to various streaming outlets so that they can be listened to outside of YouTube. They should begin to be available if they are not already. I unintentionally dropped the ball doing this over the past couple of years, so this makes up […]
For reasons I am not entirely sure of myself, I completely forgot about my annual ritual where I would submit the audio from select videos on my YouTube channel to various streaming sites such as Spotify, etc., so that people can listen to the audio outside of YouTube. I think time just slipped by, and […]

So I did a video here in which I briefly talked about “less is more”, and one thing led to another, and the next day I photoshopped this: In case you are not aware, these people are Les Claypool and Roger Moore. I simply swapped their heads.
I just so happened to get extremely lucky spotting this female Ruby-throated hummingbird with my naked eye, as it was perched high up on a tree branch, silhouetted against the blue sky (hey, that rhymed!).
Photos series of an Osprey shown hovering and then diving into water to catch a fish and flying away with its prey. I was very lucky to have witnessed this behavior closeup.
I’m not sure how common or rare the Cedar Waxwing is here in Pennsylvania. All I can tell you is that for the past 51 years of my life, I’ve never encountered a single one! Until now! I was out and about in early June (2022) at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge in Tinicum, Pennsylvania. […]
My idea for a Lovecraft based expansion for Evil Dead The Game by Saber Interactive which would include Cthulhu as the new boss, as well as Devil Reef as the new map location.
About my wildlife photography day trip to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Smyrna, Delaware, USA, in May 2022.
A pair of mating Baltimore Orioles that I just happened to stumble upon. One of those right place, right time kind of moments. This is just another prime example of what happens when you go outdoors, slow down, and take the time to observe the things that unfold around you. You don’t even need expensive […]
It’s almost 2 weeks that I’ve owned my first long lens, the Sony 200-600mm, as well as the Sony A7 IV, and the local places I’ve been visiting are chock full of all kinds of wildlife, mostly birds. So my focus (pun not intended) has been up in the trees and the sky, rarely on […]
I believe the eagle did eventually acquire the fish, from what I was told by some other park visitors, but I missed that moment. Bummer! But there’s always next time, right!? ;) You can view the series of images on my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cdntc4SuX8m/ These are the cool moments you get to witness when you take […]
The image below was captured from my smartphone on May 3rd. It appears to show 3 hatchlings in the nest. They are all jumble together with their heads down so it’s difficult to be certain, but it appears that of the 4 eggs total only 1 remains, so, fingers crossed for the final baby to […]
The first baby bird, or what’s called a “hatchling” at this stage, has, well.. hatched! Below is an image taken from video that was captured with a smartphone (I have to extend my arm all the way up and blindly take a photo pointing down). And yes, it’s alive! The video this image is from […]
