It’s almost 2 weeks that I’ve owned my first long lens, the Sony 200-600mm, as well as the Sony A7 IV, and the local places I’ve been visiting are chock full of all kinds of wildlife, mostly birds. So my focus (pun not intended) has been up in the trees and the sky, rarely on […]

I believe the eagle did eventually acquire the fish, from what I was told by some other park visitors, but I missed that moment. Bummer! But there’s always next time, right!? ;) You can view the series of images on my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cdntc4SuX8m/ These are the cool moments you get to witness when you take […]

The image below was captured from my smartphone on May 3rd. It appears to show 3 hatchlings in the nest. They are all jumble together with their heads down so it’s difficult to be certain, but it appears that of the 4 eggs total only 1 remains, so, fingers crossed for the final baby to […]

The first baby bird, or what’s called a “hatchling” at this stage, has, well.. hatched! Below is an image taken from video that was captured with a smartphone (I have to extend my arm all the way up and blindly take a photo pointing down). And yes, it’s alive! The video this image is from […]

Check out the “Community tab” on my YouTube channel to submit your creation! Below are 4 variations of the “Outside the Lines” image as seen in this video in case you want to color along with me or at your own leisure! 2 “Smaller” size. 2 “Max” size where the image takes up most of […]

The images below were taken quickly by reaching up and over the light fixture outside of our house where a House or Purple finch has built its nest. In case you haven’t been following along, this is the 3rd year in a row the same species has built a nest here (starting in 2020). Today […]

Outside of our garage we have an outdoor light fixture that lost its cover a few years ago, probably due to a storm or heavy wind, and also probably due to my changing the light bulb and not screwing the cover back on properly. What else is new. I did take the light bulb out […]

My wife and I just started watching this series which apparently has been out for like 2-3 years now. How we missed it is beyond me. All we know is that it’s the best comedy series we have seen in a long time, since the likes of Seinfeld, The Office (American version), and the movie […]

Here in the United States, we the sheeple have this super power called “the right to vote”. Ooooooo… pretty fucking amazing, riiiiiiight????? Well think again! When you get down to it, voting is nothing more than deciding who the next overpaid, lazy, egomaniacal, unhinged, sociopathic, corrupt, elitist jailor will be. And no, I’m not exaggerating. […]

Spoilers ahead! First off, I’m not a critic or a reviewer and my wife and I absolutely loved this film, especially the big reveal. Wow! It was absolutely fantastic and we didn’t see it coming. This film is such a breath of fresh air in an overplayed and tired genre. However! And that’s a very […]

Ah, modern society and its technology. I’ll spare you the rant regarding how we’re slaves to it and the various troubles and pain it causes. For now. Yes, the participants involved in the Netflix series Squid Game chose to join the game by their own volition. This young praying mantis was found on the tire of my car this October 2021. It’s always a wonderful occasion whenever I spot one of these just because of how uncommon they can be. Apparently this one had no problem basking in the limelight. Or maybe it wanted to get the hell outta dodge and […]

Most of the videos I make for my YouTube channel don’t often have any kind of interesting story behind the reason that they were made. Most. That is not the case for the video called “Relax with a Union Soldier | ASMR” for which this piece of writing is about. But this isn’t really so […]

Back around March 13 2020, when the Governor of Pennsylvania first declared shutting down schools for 2 weeks when COVID-19 cases first began to show up in our home state in low numbers, I told my wife that 2 weeks is a joke and that they might as well keep schools closed, and that this […]

ASMR is an acronym for the non-scientific term “Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response” which was coined by a layperson to describe a unique sensation experienced by certain people in response to certain stimuli. It’s like goosebumps, but instead of a very brief and uncomfortable moment of the shivers or chills, ASMR is a pleasant feeling that […]

If you are mentally agonizing, struggling, and battling on an almost daily basis over the teachings of whatever religion you were forced to learn, especially if it’s Catholicism, then this is meant for you. Below are the “poems” (minus the poem “Meat”) from the “The Poetry of Iggy Manley” video. I just had fun whipping up these lyrics the day before creating the video. I used to dabble and have fun writing terrible amateur poetry / song lyrics like this from when I was a teen and up until […]

In a dystopian future, the governments of the world joined together to form a united coalition in an effort to gain ultimate control over their citizens and to steer society towards the coalition’s vision of a utopian society. This new “united front” knew that in order to achieve this, they would have to weaken their […]

I’m sure by now you know how that is never […]

As of the time of this writing, I’ve completed watching Season 2 of the Netflix series Making a Murderer, and I still felt just as much anger, disgust, helplessness, confusion, empathy, compassion and sadness over all of the parties involved (including government officials) and what took place just like with Season 1. I’m going to […]

Innocent until proven guilty. First off, there are some spoilers ahead for those of you who haven’t yet watched the Netflix series Making a Murderer. Here is the Wikipedia link to the series. This is probably the first time I’ve ever felt so consumed about the subject of a TV show or film that I felt […]

One moment we are aware and paying attention to our environment and surroundings, most often at school or job, a split second later […]

A week or so before this post, I was thinking about how all the people I have admired over the years, whether as a kid or adult, are dead (and how any remaining “heroes” that are still alive today are dead on a metaphorical level, but that’s another story). So I whipped up this whimsical […]

You can now get Margaret on your socks, leggings, mug, smartphone case and more! This is a more recent design than what was previously available. I did a recent photo shoot of Margaret, performed some Photoshop witchery, and added her to the Teespring and Spreadshirt shops.

A little message I created that just so happends to be the ultimate combo! Better than great, greater than splendid, and far more splendid than fantastic!

You want to know why you’re bored and have nothing meaningful to do? Why you can’t sit still? Why certain school subjects or tasks at your job do not keep your attention very long? Why you’re frustrated because you have to work a job you might despise and hate so you can pay rent, utilities and buy food? […]

Once upon a time, back in October 2018, I was sitting down for lunch eating my usual beef pot pie, or maybe it was chicken pot pie, I can’t remember exactly. I think I had water to drink along with it, although it may have been iced tea. I don’t know if I also had […]

Are we truly social creatures? Did community ever truly exist? Or are we simply driven by self-interest and that’s the only reason we engage with one another? I may be an idealist, but I’m definitely a realist and I know the difference between fact and fiction (though ever since I was a kid I found […]

All throughout our lives all we have ever heard as young people was “Grow up and act like an adult!”. Yet time and time again, the so-called “adults” always end up doing something hypocritical that contradicts what it means to “act like an adult”. So I have taken it upon myself to deconstruct this fantasy […]

On September 18, 2018, YouTube posted an article on their Creator Blog announcing a new look to a section of their website that is home to gaming videos. You can read the article here: https://youtube-creators.googleblog.com/2018/09/gaming-gets-new-home-on-youtube.html As soon as I saw this, I thought to myself: “what if YouTube did the same thing for ASMR?” And even […]

As of this date, I am adding a new word to my own personal lexicon even if the editors at Merriam-Webster never add it to the “official” English dictionary. gin·gle ˈɡiNGəl/ verb: gingle; 3rd person present: gingles; past tense: gingled; past participle: gingled; gerund or present participle: gingling; to laugh lightly in a nervous, affected, or silly manner while experiencing […]

Compiled from various sources: When does a joke become a dad joke? When the punch line becomes apparent. What do you call a person who tells dad jokes but has no kids? A faux pa “I asked my dad for his best dad joke and he said, ‘You.’” I never wanted to believe that my […]

Once again another Super Bowl is upon us, and millions of people will be watching, and billions of dollars will be flowing ever upward often from the small pockets of the poor and working class into the large bank accounts of the owners, coaches, players, ad executives, car companies, beer companies, shareholders, members of the […]

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away… There once lived an animal that walked upright, was self-sufficient, empowered, highly skilled, proficient, intelligent and in control over almost all aspects of its life. It lived in small tribes consisting of generations of family members that looked after one another from its children to […]

In this episode of the podcast I ramble about the spirit of christmas compared with the commercialized aspect , kindness vs human nature and how our primitive side often undermines our good intentions, Quentin Tarantino’s film The Heightful Eight, being on the wagon, trusting your intuition, lipstick on a pig in regards to how the […]

In this episode I take another break from the typical podcast format to try something new. I take the listener on a fictional journey through space that features ambient music by the artists listed below. Playing a particular genre of music for an entire episode is something I have been wanting to do without any topical […]
