A few days prior to this post, I published the video below to my channel. I then noticed some comments from people trying to act as if xianity (or any religion) is some kind of perfect bastion of virtue and excellence, while conveniently and intentionally leaving out the religious victims, as well as all the horrible facts surrounding religions throughout human history.

So the next time you see someone spouting one-sided, biased, uninformed (or intentionally being deceptive) nonsense about the catholic church, xianity, or any other religion for that matter, you can show them this website and hopefully that will shut them up.

As someone who was raised Roman Catholic, and went to Roman Catholic school for 13 years of my life (Kindergarten to High School Senior), I have been a vocal opponent of religion and its dogma on my YouTube channel. While I was fortunately never physically abused, one cannot deny the inherent psychological abuse that comes with being subjected to religious dogma, Catholic or otherwise.

Fortunately, for me, I was born with the kind of brain where I was able to resist and not allow myself to be fully brainwashed by the xian cult, and was able to “escape” (stop believing/practicing) on my own accord (when I turned 18 and left home on a whim, which I’ll write about in my memoir. My parents were not some kind of crazy strict religious nutjobs, they just sent me to catholic school and we went to church on Sunday, doing what they thought was best at the time, and which I held against them for awhile and rightfully so, though as I got older it became water under the bridge, mostly because they were “good people” and never abused me).

Personal beliefs are fine. Forcing said beliefs onto others, dogma, indoctrination, etc., are all unethical and just one of many reasons why religions, along with government, capitalism, tobacco, alcohol, and so many other things in modern society, should be abolished (except for the things *I* like, wink wink). But that’s never going to happen because people are selfish, greedy, and really don’t care, except for the minority like me. So all one can do is try to live out their own personal utopia, since we’ll never have one on this planet, since it’s impossible to get all 8 billion people and counting to unilaterally and globally come together and agree to whatever said utopia should be. Never going to happen, so live out your own utopia.
